Tuesday 17th March 2015 saw the installation of Bro. Colin Hill into the Worshipful Master’s chair of the Saint James Lodge 7415 at the Grimsby Masonic Hall.
Some 80 members and visitors turned out from as far as Derbyshire to see one of the Lodges most respected upcoming Masons installed by the outgoing Worshipful Master Bro. Ellis, who had set a very high standard during his year in the office.
The evening was also honoured by the presence of the Worshipful Brother Bruce Goodman, the Provincial Grand Charity Steward and personal representative of the Provincial Grand Master for this meeting. There were also no less than four Grand Lodge officers present.
Joining Bro. Hill and future Masters themselves, as his new Wardens were Bro. Don Tolson as Senior Warden and Bro. Ken Bevis as Junior Warden.
During the Festive Board’s toasts and speeches, Bro. Hill acknowledged the former Worshipful Master and the respect he had gained during his visits to Lodges around the Province. The festive board was also the first full test of the new kitchen at the Pelham Suite in the Masonic Hall and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Bro. Hill’s first task having been installed, is to prepare for his first full ceremony which will be a Third Degree on Tuesday 21st April!
